Experience
Wynand joined Grant Thornton in 2020 and became a partner in 2024. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, he worked for Ernst & Young in Guernsey and BDO in South Africa.
Wynand is the Head of Audit and Assurance for the Channel Island audit practice and the quality leader for the firm responsible for the compliance with ISQM 1.
He has significant experience in the Wealth and Asset management sector including Private Equity and Real Estate. Wynand has extensive experience in auditing London Stock Exchange (‘LSE’) listed, including FTSE listed, entities.
Wynand has vast experience in cross-border engagements which includes the Australia, Europe, South African, UK and the US. As a result of working with different locations, he has been immersed in various cultures, nationalities and working styles.

Wynand’s current portfolio of clients includes listed clients (LSE and others), regulated financial services clients (Investment Funds, Private Equity Funds, Real Estate Funds, Investment Managers, Insurance Companies and a number of local Trust Company businesses) as well as a variety of non-financial services which include timber import and export.
