COPENHAGEN, 26 March 2026 – Grant Thornton Denmark is to join the Grant Thornton Advisors multinational platform — a move that will deepen the platform’s footprint in Europe and signals its continued investment in cross-border professional services.
The transaction, backed by an investor group led by New Mountain Capital, brings Grant Thornton Denmark’s 650 professionals and €85 million in annual revenue onto a platform of 18 firms worldwide. Ten European firms are now part of the platform, including Grant Thornton firms in Belgium, the Channel Islands, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, and Switzerland/Liechtenstein.
Ranked among the seven largest audit and advisory firms in the country, Grant Thornton Denmark is a highly reputable firm operating in a strong economy, with a focus on client service, sustainability and growth.
“Grant Thornton Denmark shares our belief that firms win by being connected, decisive and aligned across borders,” said Jim Peko, CEO of the Grant Thornton Advisors LLC and leader of its multinational platform. “This deal will further strengthen our ability to deliver consistent expertise, faster results and high quality across numerous time zones and industries. We’re tremendously proud to welcome Grant Thornton Denmark to our platform and energized for what we’ll achieve together.”
“Grant Thornton Denmark’s addition marks an important step in strengthening our European presence,” said Steve Tennant, EMEA CEO of the Grant Thornton Advisors multinational platform and Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Ireland. “Their strong local reputation enhances the support we provide to clients with international ambitions and adds further momentum to our growth across EMEA.”
Brian Rasmussen, CEO & Partner of Grant Thornton Denmark, said: “Joining the Grant Thornton Advisors platform marks an important strategic step for Grant Thornton Denmark. It strengthens our ability to invest in technology, talent and specialisation, while preserving the local leadership and client relationships that define us. This move positions us to deliver even greater value to Danish businesses operating in an increasingly international and complex environment.”
The transaction will close in the coming weeks. The expansion in Europe complements the platform’s growing presence in the Americas, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region, where recent transactions include firms in Brazil, the Cayman Islands, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, and United Arab Emirates. The platform also includes specialized US firms such as Auxis, a pioneer in outsourcing and business modernization, and Stax, a leader in commercial due diligence and value creation.
All platform firms will continue to be part of the Grant Thornton International Limited network, which comprises member firms in more than 150 markets worldwide.
