What did you want to be when you were younger?

Growing up I was always interested in sport. I enjoyed playing cricket most of all and I had dreams of becoming an international cricket player.

What made you choose your current profession?

Mainly my lack of cricketing ability. My interest in business drove me towards becoming a Chartered Accountant. It is a career path that can take you to becoming a business leader, a key financial decision maker or even an entrepreneur.

Why did you choose to work for Grant Thornton?

The experience I would be able to gain. Grant Thornton is a well-known, international brand and therefore attracts interesting larger clients, but at the same time, has many small owner run type clients. I selected to work for Grant Thornton as it afforded me the opportunity to gain experience by auditing businesses in various stages of their life cycle

Grant Thornton has provided me with an environment to learn. It has allowed me to walk into businesses and interact with business leaders. It has given me valuable skills and experience which I will use for the rest of my career.
